A Happy Hole In The Wall

A Happy Hole In The Wall

For many years we’d seen a foodtruck with ‘Joes on a roll’ labelled on its side at various North Shore events. We’re lucky enough to eat a lot of lobster and we didn’t quite get the vibe and expense. But then one day, we drove a different way to the train station and realized it was a location as well. So, given we were perched round the corner at Gentile Brewing just down the street, a place that actively encourages bringing your own food - with the hunger a few pints creates - we decided to give it a try and the moment we queued up we realized this was a special place.

It serves all that you would expect - but because it’s owned by a multi-generational lobster family their food is FRESH. In fact, one of the sons, Tom, will let you pick out fresh lobster off the jetty where his boat is parked just around the corner - something I’ve done for years when we have company and a hankering for lobster. Now we have kids with more of a chicken leaning, I can also say that their chicken fingers are out of this world too.

So, for an excellent and satisfying lunch you know where to head. And #taketheworld tip is make sure you call them 15 minutes before hand on 978-720-8907, oh and if you like some citrus in your lobster ask for extra lemons too.
