Meat, Glorious Meat
The Naum Keg Ordinary has long been a favorite watering hole of ours. Nestled in the heart of Salem,Massachusets, it continues to offer a startling array of craft beers and ciders. The sour beer has always been our first choice as we walk through the doors.
The other welcoming news is that each month Andy, the owner, hatches a special meal and closes the doors to only those who booked in advance.
For this months event he chose to recreate an 'old fashioned beefsteak' - a feast that harks back to the early 1900's men's clubs in Manhatten.
The meal featured meat, bread and French fries and copious quantities of beer. But the fun addition were the two key rules. Diners had to wear crisp, cotton aprons. And all food had to be eat only with ones hands.
So there we have it. A meal as paleo as one could ever hope for in terms of consumption. And you can I hope forgive the fries and bread on the side.
#taketheworld and see you at the next event.
