A Room With A View

We’ve been traveling to Essex for more than ten years, but for some reason had never spotted this gem of a inn and motel, until a recent surprise birthday party necessitated a local Sleep option.

What a find!

Shea’s has been one of our favorite dining spots for a while, but the less known inn and motel off the back boasts fabulous views of the Essex river and ocean exit, as well as walking distance to antique stores a plenty, and other hostelry’s too. It’s also only 30 seconds walk to Woodman’s and a Dunks so your day is well suite to strolling.

Prices are modest, rooms clean and comfortable and while we stayed at the Motel rooms just next to the Inn, these also did the job nicely.

And a #taketheworld benefit, you can stroll from the back of Shea’s with your beverage, and sit back on their beach area to watch the sun go down.
