A Banging Beer BBQ

As any good alliterative fan knows, there’s a joyful symmetry, to phrases with matching first letters. Most are forced. This one was easy. In a recent trip to Austin, Texas, my wife and I stumbled upon Banger’s. An aptly named beer house with 202 (yes, rub your eyes), draft beers. That actually slots them as 3rd in the entire US for choice. And pleasingly that choice is not just of 45 different lite beers - from Belgium to France and many places in between, the drafts on offer are simply sumptuous. What began as one beer, quickly became three.

The space is also terrific - from large wooden pub style tables, to a bar that is a work of art with the sheer number of shiny copper draft taps.
