A Legend Is Reborn
When you find yourself making a reservation for your next visit, before you’ve even paid the check, then you know you’re at an elite dining location. And that friends is Brennan’s in New Orleans.
Serving patrons since 1946, Chef Slade Rushing’s innovative French and Spanish twist on Creole, has fast become one of the must NOLA experiences for any true foodie.
And set in a dining space of rich and pure green velvet and salmon it has a similar special vibe as The Ivy in London.
On this visit, we tried the Brunch which, with some fierce competition , we can easily confirm now makes our top three of all time.
With Perrier Jouet at $45 a bottle and eggs so many ways from Sunday it’s still a visceral memory just to write this review. Eggs Cardinal with shrimp, truffle and spinach or Eggs A La Turk with Foie and Smoled hen of the woods mushrooms, reinvents everything you associate with breakfast.
And as i sit in Boston this is indeed a first. I’m feeling sad not to be there right now. Run as fast as you can and start ordering at this mesmerizing establishment. Because for dinner we’ve heard that the Bananas Foster is impossibly, insanely good too.
