St Armand's Circle is a well known haven. A beautiful island set just off Lido Key in Sarasota.

Seperated from the mainland by a long, arching bridge, its' mix of boutiques and bars (in equal and delightful ratio) allows for the most pleasant combination of gentle bar and shopping crawls.

We'll cover the eateries on a different post but if you want a $6 martini with the best ambience then head to Tommy Bahamas bar between 4-6pm.  Soak up the live music and sup on The Grapefruit Basil and watch the world go by.  It's a happy hour indeed.
